New Farm Stand Open to Public

A new farm stand offering produce grown on San Luis Obispo’s only urban farm is now open to the public on Wednesday afternoons from 3 to 6 p.m.  City Farm SLO located off Los Osos Valley road at 1221 Calle Joaquin will feature a variety of pesticide and synthetic fertilizer-free freshly harvested vegetables grown onsite by tenant farmers and students from Pacific Beach Continuation High School’s twice-weekly Farm Class.  On Sunday, October 21 the entire farm will celebrate the Second Annual Fall Harvest Festival. The current list of produce includes heirloom and cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, carrots, green beans, sweet and hot peppers, pumpkins, summer and winter squash, beets, peas, and certified organic turmeric and ginger.
