Youth and Pros Show Off at the 9th Annual Still Frothy Surf Festival

Surfers of all ages gathered for the 9th annual Still Frothy Surf Festival, a non-profit three day surfing event held in Pismo Beach. The event kicked off Friday with live music and raffle giveaways. Saturday featured the only tow-at (jet ski assist) air division on the Central Coast where local and traveling pros got to show off their talent. The contest continued with youth and Pro-Am divisions throughout the weekend. A highlight was the non-profit challenge, which paired 6 pros with 6 youth surfers in a final heat. The winners took home prizes and donated $1,500 to Team Mateo to help pay medical costs for a local boy fighting cancer. Photos by Ben Schutzer,
