The 41st Annual Pismo Jazz Jubilee Celebrates the Music of New Orleans

Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 26-29 at various venues in Pismo and Arroyo Grande. The Jazz Jubilee has 25 bands playing Dixieland, New Orleans, Zydeco, early jazz, Big Band and Swing music, at a half dozen indoor and outdoor venues. Venues are: Pismo Vet’s Hall, St. Anthony’s Church, Addie Street by the Pismo Pier, the A.G. Women’s Club, AG Regional Center and the Edgewater Inn.
Each venue features great food, California wines, libations and dance floors. Tickets are $25 for the Thursday kick off event 6-9 p.m. at the Pismo Vet’s Hall; $50 for all day Friday; $60 all day Saturday; $30 Sunday; or $95 for a 3-day pass. See: www.pismojazz.com/JubileeByTheSea.htm for tickets.
Headliners include Cajun violinist, Tom Rigney and Flambeau from San Francisco; the High Street Party Band from Idaho; and Cornet Chop Suey from St. Louis.
Others include the Midiri Brothers from New Jersey; Uptown Lowdown from Seattle; and the High Sierra Jazz Band from Three Rivers, Calif.; the JC Jazz Krewe; The Crescent Katz with clarinetist Chloe Feoranzo; = trombone sensation Haruka Kuchi of New Orleans; and the Cal Poly Jazz Orchestra.
